This cable uses the same ultra flex PVC found in the professional premium cable and the Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) conductor from this cable. Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) is made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. CCA overall provides a cost effective solution to most audio systems. Assembled from stranded 17 gauge CCA, our cable is equal in size to top premium cable, but is designed for lighter current loads and not lightening your wallet. By using an area of 15mm^2 of CCA, the cable is nearly equal to 4 gauge. This over sizing offsets the use of the CCA compared to standard sized 8 made of OFC. So you get equal performance and at sizable savings.
